Hutt City Council is disappointed that Lime has decided to suspend services in Lower Hutt. The trial of e-scooters with Lime has shown us that Lower Hutt residents are interested in the introduction of new and more sustainable forms of transport in our city.
We are currently evaluating micro-mobility and e-scooters form part of the survey which collects information on how Lower Hutt residents move around our city. The information from the evaluation will inform our future approach to providing more transport options for the public. This includes the possibility of having other e-scooter operators in Lower Hutt. We will provide more information on this later in the year when the evaluation has been completed.
Lime will be available until Monday 17 June in the Hutt Valley. Customers will then receive refunds for any credit remaining on their accounts.
