Bin Enquiry FormMultiProofs are issued by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment to builders constructing multiple buildings with the same or a similar design. They state that the plans and specifications comply with the New Zealand Building Code.
With a MultiProof for their building design, a builder can build the design several times in one district or nationwide, subject to any approval conditions, without needing to have the whole design assessed every time they apply for a building consent.

It takes 10 working days to process a MultiProof building consent. During this time we’ll check:
If we approve the building consent, you’ll have to arrange regular inspections to ensure that the development meets the requirements of the MultiProof certificate.

If you want to make changes that haven’t been specifically approved by the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment in your MultiProof certificate, you’ll have to apply for a standard building consent.
At this stage you’ll need our approval for any amendments. Depending on how extensive they are, we may need to re-assess your plan to ensure that it complies with the New Zealand Building Code.
