The Walter Nash Centre is a sports venue, leisure and learning space and a hub for the local Taita community. It was redeveloped in 2015 as a regional sports facility with the addition of 3 new world-class courts.
The Centre comes alive everyday with sports leagues, community meetings and gatherings, library users, and corporate sessions. It is used for a variety of sports including basketball, netball, frisbee, volleyball, floorball, futsal and table tennis. The Centre can also host large events in the main sports hall, like the Hutt Valley Sports Awards which seated 1,100 for the awards dinner.
Courts 2 and 3 are available for sponsorship (court 1 is currently under contract negotiations). Naming and branding of courtside billboards, centre circles, and back boards are all available for discussion as well as negotiating venue usage, staff engagement opportunities, joining our networks and being included in Council’s family of sponsors.
Naming rights of this facility is also an option, so get in touch if you’d like to explore the options.
