Bin Enquiry FormIn general, the district plan manages business by enabling different types of business activities in different areas. This is generally to ensure that there are suitable locations in the district for different types of business while managing the potential effects of the business on the surrounding environment. For example, the district plan currently provides for heavy industry in specific industrial zones while restricting these types of businesses in residential areas. However, other types of business are enabled in residential areas, such as home businesses and small scale childcare and healthcare businesses.

Council is interested in your thoughts on what controls should be included in the district plan on our commercial areas, including the size of shops and other commercial activities.
